Mac Lipstick : Shanghai Spice

Sorry if your a frequent reader of my blog and have been disappointed at the fact that I haven't blogged lately.  I have just bought a new camera so hopefully my pictures and content will be better, I really enjoy blogging and want to get back into it and make it in to a regular thing!

Recently I did a little bit of online shopping and purchased a few mac goodies! One of the purchases I made was a Cremesheen lipstick in the shade Shanghai Spice. I really love the Mac Cremesheen lipsticks because they are sheer and don't look to intense on your lips, but you can definitely build up the pigmentation. Another reason why I love Cremesheen's are because they are not drying on your lips. The colour is such a perfect everyday lipstick and looks very natural and wearable.
The lipstick cost £15.50 and overall I think it was worth every penny!

A Delicious Smoothie!

This smoothie was very yummy and was so simple to make so I thought i'd share it with you.

I know there's an apple in this picture but as I was chopping up the apple to put it in the blender, I accidentally ate the whole thing! Whoops :P

Into the smoothie there is;
4 handfuls of blueberries,
2 handfuls of big strawberries,
1 whole banana,
6 ice cubes,
A splash of apple juice.

I thought i'd share my everyday smoothie with you because it's taste amazing and is very simple.

A Little Self Indulgence Every Now And Then Never Hurt Anyone!

Today I went to Creams Cafe In Woking with my mum and my friend. The building itself was really cool and retro with a black and purple theme throughout. There was so much choice on the menu, but I only ordered one thing because the portions are massive!

Mum's Strawberry and Cream Crepe

My White Choc Indulgence Waffle

Chloe's Nutella Spread Waffle

None of us actually managed to finish all of our food sadly because of how big the portions were but we had a good attempt! I'd like to think mine was partly healthy because of the strawberry and bananas but I know I'm lying to myself with that thought! We had a really nice day out shopping and I bought a lot of clothes for an upcoming festival I'm going to.

Thank you reading! Let me know if you've been to Creams Cafe and what you ordered!

LOréal Paris True Match Foundation: Review

If you read my Haul blog post from a while ago, then you would know I bought this foundation from Superdrug for £9.99.

I bought this foundation because I have repeatedly heard Lauren Curtis rave about this foundation. She uses it in the majority of her make-up videos and has previously worked in the make-up industry, so I trust her opinion a lot.

I bought the shade W1 Golden Ivory and it is my perfect colour. This foundation is definitely for more normal to oily skin types. I have quite dry skin which is why I don't think this foundation worked that well for me. It has good coverage but as I said I have dry skin and it just clumped to my dry patches and didn't look good. Because the colour was such a good match and it was good coverage, I wanted to make it suit my skin a bit more, so i added a pump of my daily moisturiser on the back of my hand and mixed it with the foundation, then I applied it. But I think my skin is just to dry for this foundation and it just didn't sit well on the skin.

(My right hand hasn't got any foundation on)

I wouldn't recommend this foundation for people with dry skin, purely because of the way it wasn't very moisturising. If you have oily-er skin then I would recommend it as its good coverage and was very cheap.

Let me know of your experiences with this foundation or if you have any recommendations of foundations for dry skin.

The Ultimate Festival Guide : Hair, Make-up, Outfits, Tips & My Essentials

With summer approaching i thought it would be perfect to do a festival guide as some of us might be heading of to festivals and want some ideas for make-up.

Hair:
When travelling i like to have my hair out of my face so i usually do two french braids and then sleep in it so that the next morning my hair will be crimped and curly.

Unless i'm at a weekend festival i usually don't wash my hair because the ques tend to be quite long in the morning, so i would recommend taking dry shampoo or a towel off shampoo.

Make - Up:
For make-up, i wanted to keep it simple and quick as when your at a festival you probably don't want to be spending a lot of time doing your make and would rather listen to the music and explore.

1 - Collection The Smokey Eye Palette
2- Avon Solutions Truly Radiant Tint Release Moisturiser
3- Rimmel London Clear Complexion Powder
4- Revlon Lip Butter - 005 Sugar Frosting
5- ColourWorks Blusher
6- Revolution Ultra Bronze - Bronzer
7- Avon Mega Effects Mascara

If you wanted to add a bit of colour you could use coloured eyeliners and coloured mascaras with bright cream eye shadows. If you wanted to wear a red lip, in my opinion, the best option is the Carmex Moisture Plus lip balm in red because its moisturising and pigmented.

Tips:
  • Remember wellies or boots as the ground will probably be quite muddy as a lot of people will be walking on it.
  • If your camping, remember to peg your tent down first so that it doesn't fly away or get to dark when you try to do it later on.
  • Make note of what campsite your in when you arrive so you don't have to try and find your campsite and tent in the dark.
  • Always carry tissues with you! For the toilets or just in case you spill something, they can always come in handy.
  • Take a tripod seat or a rubbish bag (clean) so that you have something to sit on when the ground is muddy.
  • If its raining at night, keep your stuff away from the edge of the tent as the water will soak through and make your stuff wet.
  • If your at a dodgy camp site, sleep with your valuables (e.g. keys, wallet, phone). Put them at the bottom of your sleeping bag so that there safe.
  • If your worried you tent might get broken into at night, attach a bell to the zip so it makes a noise when being opened.
  • To keep warm at night, make sure you've eaten a hot meal, been to the toilet and have dry clothes on. If your still cold then put a hat on as most of your body heat escapes from your head and feet.
  • Drink plenty of water because if its sunny you could get a headache. You'll especially want to have some water if your drinking at the festival as alcohol dehydrates you.
  • To ensure you're drinking a lot of water, pack a water bottle to carry round with you and fill up when your near a tap.
  • Wear sunscreen even if you can't see the sun as it can still damage your skin.
My Essentials!:
1- Sunglasses (mine are from Camden market)
2- Hayfever tablets (only if you suffer, of course!) because you don't to have to be worrying about sneezing the whole festival
3- A hairbrush, especially a fold away one because they are smaller and you can fit more in your bag
4- A cheap camera to take photos with, so that it doesn't matter if it get damaged
5- Lip balm (Carmex of course!)
6- Sunscreen
7- Deodorant or a body spray to keep you smelling fresh
8- A compact mirror

Another really fun thing to do with your friends is flash tattoos! They look really cool and add some more accessorizes to your outfits! These ones are from Topshop from £5.

I hope that wherever you go this summer you have a fun time and stay safe!
I hope this blog post helped.

Current Music Favourites

I'm off school right now on Easter break so i've been glued to my computer screen which means i'm constantly with my headphones on listening to music! There have been a few songs that i've had on repeat, that i'd thought i'd share with you!

1 - Take Me To Church - Hozier Cover | Alex Aiono

This cover is amazing and i get so sad when it ends because he has such an amazing voice and i wish YouTube had a 'play nonstop' button (or if it does, i wish i knew what button it was).

2 - Grown Woman - Beyonce

This song is so perfect, to be honest what song of Beyonce's isn't? It's a real 'get up and dance' song!

3 - Countdown - Beyonce

Why have i only just discovered this song?! It's such a good song and so catchy! Even in the video Beyonce is pregnant and still looks flawless!

4 - Four Five Seconds - Rihanna, Kanye West & Paul McCartney

I think i'm rather late on the band wagon with this song, but better late than never! Its such a catchy and creative song.

5 - Stay High - Habits Cover | Luke Conard & Alyssa Poppin

If i'm honest when this song first came out i didn't really like it, but when i heard this cover...i saved it as a favourite within seconds! Both of them just have such amazing voices and made the song better in my opinion.

6- Fifty Shades Of Grey - Various Artists

This soundtrack is perfect for when i'm running (not that often) or in the bath or anytime when i don't want to get up and change the song because i love every song on this soundtrack! My favourites are number one, three, five and eleven.

Those were just a few of the songs i'm obsessed with. Thank you for reading :) x

A Day In Camden

A few days ago i went to the Camden markets. It was so crowded but so worth it! There were just so many unique things you wouldn't see any where else and for such cheap prices, everything i bought (bar one item) i managed to bargain down to a cheaper price! The choice of food and drink was overwhelming but so yummy! Overall the day was so good and i'm definitely going to force my friends to go with me again.

Easter Treats

I wanted to show you two easy and simple Easter treats!

Ingredients needed:

For Krispie Cakes -
Rice Krispies
Bar of chocolate
Chocolate spread (Optional)
Cupcake cases
Mini Chocolate eggs (Optional)

For Milkshake -
Yogurt
Hot chocolate powder
Milk
Whipped Cream (Optional)
Chocolate Spread

Melt the chocolate in a glass bowl over a pan of boiling water. I wanted the chocolate to taste like hazelnut so i added a scope of chocolate spread in but this is optional.

Once the chocolate is melted you'll want to mix it with the Rice Krispies. I found adding a small amount of cereal at a time made it easier to ensure that every piece was coated in chocolate.

Then i added the mixture into cupcake cases.

I added mini chocolate eggs on top because i thought it looked cute, but this step is optional.

For the milkshake i added melted chocolate spread, milk, yogurt, hot chocolate powder and then blended it into a milkshake. I didn't measure how much i added, i just eyed it.

Top off with whipped cream and chocolate eggs! :)

Hope you enjoyed, thanks for reading!
