March Favourites

I know this blog post is late for March favourites but I thought better late than never to share what I have been loving recently and almost every single day in March.

To Start with my first favourite of the month is the MAC Turquatic pefume. I love the scent of this perfume I think it smells so incredibly nice. I'm not the best at describing scents so I'm not going to attempt to, but if you're walking past a MAC counter and you get the chance to smell this I would definitely encourage you to!

My next favourite of the month I featured in my Beauty Hits & Misses blog post  as a hit. Its the essence brow gel in the shade 01 brown. Its a favourite of mine because its so cheap and I can create perfectly natural looking brows with this pomade and it lasts all day and matches my hair colour perfectly!

My next favourite is Bio-Oil. Simple yet effective. I love this so much as it isn't harsh on my skin and doesn't make my skin react no matter how much I put on. I also love it because its helped with my dry skin but the main reason I bought it was to get rid of the acne scaring left on my cheeks. I've been using this product roughly twice a day, everyday for the month of March and I have definitely noticed a difference with my skin. I hasn't completely got rid of my scaring all together but it has helped immensely! The product claims to help with the appearance of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging skin and dehydrated skin. Overall I think this product is amazing and I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out!

My penultimate favourtie is the NUXE Paris Lip Balm. This is a favourite of mine this month because its like a butter balm on the lips and leaves them feeling so soft. I was in need of a lip balm so I went on feelunique.com and purchased the best selling lip balm because I wanted something that I knew would work and has worked for other people.

My last favourite of the month has cured my hair! Its coconut oil. I suffered with very bad and visible dandruff and the shampoos such as head and shoulders I was trying just wasn't helping. I massaged this into my scalp and then slept with my hair in a bun and left it in over night. The next morning when i woke up to wash my hair my dandruff was completely gone and my scalp didn't feel as dry anymore. I thought my dandruff was completely gone and I stopped using it but when I didn't use it my scalp felt starting flaking again so I know for sure this is the thing that helped to get rid of it. I now massage it in my scalp and hair before I go to wash it every time because it helps to get rid of my dandruff completely!

Those were my overall favourites for the month of march and some discoveries this month have now become a holy grail product such as the bio oil and coconut oil which I am very pleased about! Thank you for reading x

Beauty Hits & Misses

This blog post is going to be my overall hits and misses relating to beauty so far. This is only based on my skin type and how well the products worked for me. I have quite dry and sensitive skin therefore meaning when I look into buying a foundation and certain makeup products I usually go for ones with a semi-matte to dewey finish on the skin so that it doesn't cling to my dry patches or emphasise them even more. With that being said you might love some of the products that I have said are a miss for me and alternatively you might hate a product that I have said is a hit for me.

Starting off with my first beauty hit which is the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer.
I haven't had the concealer for that long but so far I love it! It has light reflecting properties making it perfect for an under eye concealer. It blends out beautifully into the skin and I haven't experienced any creasing with this concealer at all. Bourjois have said its 'An instant skincare action: enriched with Mont Blanc glacier water & hyaluronic acid, it visibly smoothes away wrinkles and fine lines and hydrates the under eye area for up to 24 hours'.
This concealer is definitely not drying and is perfect for brightening the face.

My next total hit is the essence eyebrow gel. This is a hit for me because of many reasons, one reason being the price! Its so incredible cheap and easy to get a hold of for me because Wilko sell it in my town for £3.00. When I purchased this there was only one colour on the shelf in 01 Brown so with no other choice I decided to get this colour and it matches perfectly! Its more of a pomade and doesn't leave any powdery marks on your eyebrows. Its definitely long lasting on my brows and is easy to create a nice natural brow with.

This next product is surprisingly a miss for me due to the amount of people that love this concealer and that is the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal. I bought this because I had seen many Youtuber raving about how much they loved this product so highlighting under their eyes but this concealer just didn't work for under my eyes. It didn't blend out nicely and made the pores of my face stand out even more. Although it is quite nice when its not under my eyes and I have the same concealer in the shade 'toast' which I love for cream countering so this product still leaves me undecided whether I like it or not but for under the eyes its definitely a miss for me.

This next product I have spoken about before in a blog post  about how I didn't really like it and that is the L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation, and after trying to use it a few more times I still really dislike this foundation it just doesn't sit well on my dry skin although the coverage and colour are good its still not enough for me to even like this foundation a little bit. I definitely want to try out the L'Oreal True Match Lumi because it is said to be more suited for dry skins and a dupe for the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation so I will be trying it out in the future.

These next to misses I was so disappointed with because the colours are so pretty and perfect for everyday wear and that is the essence XXXL longlasting lipgloss with a velvet matt finish. I bought these because I expected them to be like a liquid lipstick but not as drying. The reason I dislike these products isn't because they aren't liquid lipsticks but its because they're quite mousey and don't glide as easily onto the lips. They also sink into all the fine lines on my lips and don't look flattering. The smell of them (although some reviews said it was lovely) is a bit too strong for me, although that is matter of opinion. They smell very sweet and sickly like butterscotch and ice cream and overall I'm just not a big fan of these.

My next beauty hit is the Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose. I absolutely love this stuff! It sits so nicely on the lips and smells so nice! Although its not perfect for fixing chapped lips its definitely nice to smooth them and leave them nicely hydrated. I love to put this on after I've exfoliated my lips when they are smooth to keep them smooth and soft!

My final beauty hit is the MAC Select Cover- Up Concealer. Not ideal for under the eyes but perfect for what its intended to do and that is to cover up imperfections such as blemishes and scars. Its a medium to full coverage concealer and I love putting this on my acne scars under foundation for a smooth base or I love to wear it on its own as well just for when I want a bit more coverage.

That is my Beauty Hits & Misses so far with all the makeup I own. I'm sure this list will be added to over the years and I might do an updated list when the time comes but for now these are the Hits and Misses that I Love/Dislike. Thank you very much for reading.
