Anastasia Glow Kit

Ok, so I don't personally own a classic staple ABH Glow Kit but I had a little play with my friends kits and they're so stunning! Although the shades aren't always the most wearable for my skin tone, they're still such beautiful colours that certainly glow!

The Glow kits cost £39 from beautybay.com which although sounds pricey, you're paying just under a tenner for each individual highlighter which doesn't sound too bad when you put it like that.

In the picture there is the 'That Glow' Glow Kit and the 'Sun Dipped' Glow Kit.

Other Glow Kits from Anastasia are the:

Moonchild Glow Kit.

Ted Baker Collection

I received this Ted Baker Gift Set as a present from my friend and thought I would share it with you.

In the gift set you get:

2 Face Illuminators - Pearly Pink & Golden Glow
1 Blush Palette
1 Brush

The Face Illuminators are such a nice formula and ideal for putting on before makeup onto the highpoints of your face, or putting them on your collar bones to make your body glow.

The blush palette doesn't swatch very well but gives a beautiful flush of colour over the cheek. I personally like to swirl my brush in all three of the colours and put it all of the cheeks for a sutble and pretty colour.

Overall, I really like this gift set and I'm obsessed with the packaging! I'm going to keep the box just because it's such a pretty pattern and colour. I love how the baby pinks look with the gold and rose gold details!

HOW MUCH FOR THAT GLOW??

This is possibly one of the best highlighters I have ever used and it was soo cheap!!

It's the Primark Glow Kit!

This Is honestly such an intense highlight kit and was worth every penny!

The blush colour in the palette isn't particularly blush coloured it's more of a glow to the cheeks rather than a glowy blush colour but I still like to put it on top of a matte blush colour to make it glowy.

The darkest shade in the palette is the most pigmented and probably the most intense glow but sadly it's too dark for my skin tone so I doubt I'll be touching this colour much, which is a shame. The two top colours are what I mix together for my cheekbone highlight and it's just such a gorgeous glow to the cheeks!

The only downside to this palette was that of course being Primark, It meant that every palette had been touched or swatched and didn't look particularly appealing and took a while to find one that hadn't been touched.
But other than that It was such a good purchase and was only £5!!

And perhaps a small other downside is that because it's Primark you have to go in store to get it, you can't order it offline but that's only a minor inconvenience.

Just A Few Of My Favourite Drugstore Foundations!

I think I'm very lucky with the skin I have because pretty much bar one of these foundations works well on my skin. I love each one for different reasons.

The Rimmel foundations all seems to have a decent medium coverage but a semi-dewy to natural finish which is why they're pretty much perfect for everyday wear.

The Bourjois foundations tend to vary, for example the City Radience foundation is my more of a lighter coverage and a semi-natural finish which is more suited to 'no make-up' make-up days. The Bourjois Air Mat foundation still doesn't have a very full coverage but provides a more matte finish on the skin which I like. Finally the Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation is very similar to the Rimmel foundations because they have the same natural finish and the same medium coverage which is why I like them. I recently ran out of my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum but that was one of my all time favourite drugstore foundations because it just worked so perfectly with my skin!

Out of the two Maybelline Foundations in the picture, my favourtie would have to be the Dream Satin Liquid because its similar to the Rimmel foundations as it has that natural semi-dewy finish with a comfortable coverage. The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is a good foundation and has a nice coverage It's just slightly more mattifying on my skin, and I have quite dry skin so thats not always good.

I only have one Revlon Foundation which is the Colour Stay one, so I can only give my opinion on this one. I foundation It to also be similar to the Rimmel ones and the Dream Satin from Maybelline because It had a decent coverage but wasn't drying on my skin due to the semi-dewy natural finish that It gave. This foundation also had SPF in it so it's good for everyday wear.

Lastly we have the Loreal Foundations, I only have two of their foundations and am not a great fan of either. I've spoke about the Loreal True Match in a previous blog post and shared the reasons why I dislike it. BLOG POST. As for the Loreal Total Cover, it's not bad. It does give crazy coverage and is probably the most full coverage foundation I own. Due to this reason I would necessarily wear it all over my face because it is so thick and just doesn't work with my dry skin. Instead I put on a normal foundation then I will put the Total Cover in areas that I feel need more coverage, e.g my cheeks and my chin. For this reason of adding more coverage when I need it, I do like this foundation and It comes in very handy when I want a more full coverage finish on one of my other foundations.

Thank you very much for reading, let me know what some of your favourite foundations are, both drugstore and high-end!

Holy Grail Tan!!

I recently picked up the Bondi Sands tan in the shade dark from FeelUnique.com and I love it! The tan is such a nice shade and it's making me want to try their Ulta Dark shade now because you can never have too much tan in my opinion. I bought their Bondi Sands self tanning lotion in 'Dark' which contains 200ml and I also purchased their Bondi Sands self tanning foam also in 'Dark' and also has 200ml.

Feel Unique say "Bondi Sands Self-Tanning Lotion Dark dries in seconds to a stunningly rich natural flawless looking tan that lasts longer. Enriched with aloe vera, your skin will feel soft and smooth. Bondi Sands lightweight formula applies easily leaving your skin with a healthy natural bronzed look like a day on Bondi Beach. "

Both products were £14.99 each and one of my favourite things about this tan is the scent. I'm not usually a fan of coconut-smelling things but this scent isn't too overpowering and I feel happy about applying some in the morning and going out in the day to run errands or go to college to let it develop without smelling bad.

The reviews say the tan is very natural looking, which I agree with but its also easily buildable if you apply another coat on top and let it develop for as long as you possibly can. I often apply my tan in the evening once I get home. (I apply it with the St Moriz Tanning mit for £2.99) Then I put on lose clothing that isn't going to rub or making any marks in my tan. Then I go to bed and depending on what I'm doing that day I'll either apply another coat and then wash it off 30 minutes later or if I'm in a rush I'll wash it off straight away and be left with a natural and bronzey tan.

In the future I am hoping to try out more of their range especially in the months coming up to summer! I'm kean to try their Ultra Dark shade also Feel Unique don't appear to stock that shade so maybe it's only in Australia for now?

Thank you for reading :)
